Multi-Award-Winning
Carol Markstrom:
“…where American folk music washes gently against Americana”
(Country Music People Magazine)
With four previous CDs (three award-winning), Carol Markstrom is delighted to introduce her latest release, Seekers. This album is a collection of 12 original songs all on topics embedded in Native American cultures and history. Carol is a former university professor with Native American Studies one of her specializations—she lived, worked, and conducted research on reservations—and those experiences inspired her songwriting. Each of her albums has included songs on these topics and it has been Carol’s goal to assemble a collection of the very best songs (some award-winning), many re-recorded and remixed, and there are new songs too! Native American artists and co-writers contributed to many of these songs. Several studios were involved in this project with final mixing and co-production by Merel Bregante at Cribworks Digital Audio in Texas and mastering by Jerry Tubb at Terra Nova in Austin, Texas.
